About Ephy...

The Story So Far...

"I was born in Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland, the middle of three brothers, Fergus and Donal. I loved Drogheda and miss the many characters, especially Tony Wynne. I played music from an early age with Gerry Mulroy and Lorraine Quigley, the Simpson family and later with Tom McCann & Jimmy Walsh (god rest him). In the late eighties I moved to England with a young family and put the effort in to improve the quality of our lives. I now live in the village of Oswaldtwistle in Lancashire, the friendliest place in Britain, it's home now.

For the past twenty five years I have travelled the globe in a senior business role ( vice president of Honeywell Corporation), and apart from the corporate B.S. I've had a ball making many friends from California to Tokyo.

My love of music dimmed in the mid eighties when I was offered an album but to give up a steady job wasn't an option. I left my guitar in it's case for fifteen years. I'd had some success writing, winning the Cavan song contest and appearing on RTE's music show but the day job took preference.

My personal interests moved to flying, even after a major accident in a biplane I flew a microlight from Lancashire to Portugal for C.L.I.C. (Cancer and Leukaemia In Children)

In December 2006 I stopped the constant travel, having worked in the US, Africa, The Middle East, South America and Australia, I'd had enough. I started writing music again and intend to keep doing so.

I completed "Heaven's Over Here" in autumn of 2007. I am continuing to write music and am working one my second album.
